A DOG OWNER'S PRAYER
O Lord, don't let me once forget
how I love my trusty pet --
Help me learn to disregard
canine craters in my yard!
Show me how to be a buddy
even when my sofa's muddy!
Don't allow my pooch to munch
postal carriers for lunch!
Shield my neighbor's cat from view,
guide my steps around the doo!
Train me not to curse and scowl
when it's puppy's night to howl!
Grant I shan't awake in fear
with a cold dog nose in my ear!
Give me patience without end --
Help me be my dog's best friend!

Helping You & Your Dog Become A Better Team!
CUSTOMIZED IN-YOUR-HOME TRAINING
Why do we recommend In-YOUR-Home training over store or group classes?
Because in your home is where you get the most learning for your investment.
A group class might appear to save you money.  In YOUR home, however, you and your
dog learn where the challenges exist!  We explore with you to help assess your
needs and from that we design a personalized training curriculum specific
to your goals, then we come to your home to work with you and your family.
IN-YOUR-HOME
GROUP CLASSES
You stay home - I travel to you.  Where the
challenges exist!
You travel to the class location.  Where the
surroundings definitely change the problems!
You get all my attention one-on-one for the full
class, totally focused on your family and dog.
Group classes have anywhere from 5-20 students,
all sharing the same instructor attention in an
often noisy, distracting environment.  Every dog
has a different temperament, every handler has a
different personality and a different agenda.  The
instructor has to try to meet everyone’s and every
dog’s needs all in one hour.
I design a customized curriculum that targets areas
specific to you and your dog's needs.  If your dog
already knows Sit and Down, there is no sense
teaching them to you again simply because others in
the class don't yet know it.
The group class curriculum is fixed and meant to
satisfy the overall needs of every student in every
class, not just your specific needs.
In-YOUR-Home classes move at your pace. As your
dog learns we move on, allowing more training to
take place in the same time as a group class.
Group classes move at one pace - the pace that fits
the fixed curriculum.
In-home class schedules are flexible and can usually
be adjusted to meet both your learning needs and
your schedule.
If you have a schedule conflict and miss a group
class, you miss it with little chance of rescheduling
or catching up.
Include everyone in the family who interacts with
the dog – husband, wife, grandparents, and even the
babysitter.  This way everyone learns how to
consistently communicate with your dog.
Group classes often have limited space in the
classroom.  Some classes limit the number of people
who practice within the learning are to the handler
only, and request that other family members sit off
and observe only.
We can control in-home distractions.  To help your
dog succeed, distractions are necessary for
training.  However, the right way to train is to
start distractions at a minimum to allow the dog to
focus, and then slowly add more of them into the
instruction.
You have no control of the environment in a store
class.  Other dogs are barking, birds are squawking,
forklifts beeping, overhead announcements blaring,
shopping carts moving, kids running, shoppers
talking.  You and your dog have a difficult time
hearing the instructor and focusing on the training.

THE REAL VALUE STORY

In an 8 week 60-minute group class that costs $125 with 5-8 students, the instructor
allots roughly 5 minutes of one-on-one time per student.  That means you are paying
$3.12/minute for your one-on-one time!

With our
In-YOUR-Home private classes, the sessions are devoted entirely to your
needs ... at your pace ... addressing your challenges ... customized to you and your dog ... with
personalized email session recaps ... and full phone and email support between sessions.
With all that support you pay as little as
99 cents/minute for our sessions!  More
customized time devoted to you and your dog for less money -- all in your dog's home and
surroundings!  That's more for your investment and the real value story!
